App Smackdown: Google Drive
The web tool that I choose for my app smackdown is Google Drive. Google Drive is widely used among all students and faculty members from schools all over the world. Google drive is a file storage and synchronization service developed by Google. It is a cloud storage service available for all users with a google Gmail account. If you don’t have an google account, it is completely free to create and can benefit you tremendously. It allows you to store any kind of files from photos, videos, word documents, to pdf files, etc.
Throughout the years of using Google Drive I can admit it came in very handy when doing coursework and group projects. I have used it to store class work from different classes and put them in a folder to store them if I needed to refer to them in the future. One of the best features it offers is the ability to share your files to other recipients of your choice via there email. This allows other users to edit your files or documents at the comfort of there choice. A example of this is when I had to do a group project for my Organizational Behavior class and every member of the group had a separate topic to talk about so we all made a group chat and shared the Google drive file to each one of us to edit and complete.
Whether you need to save important files, transfer them, or share them, Google Drive is the web tool everyone should be using. I use Google Drive on the go at school to write down notes or type up essays. Google Drive has made cloud storage and took synchronization service to a whole new level. I suggest anyone who hasn’t used Google Drive before to use it for the perks I mentioned above.

Hi, MD
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of college students that use google drive and really like it. I only use it occasionally, but I like the idea of having all your work in one space. It definitely keeps things organized and easy to find.
I use drive for just about everything. In fact, I think I have an autosync for Google Drive for my photos and documents. I love how I have the ability to invite others to edit, view, or share and I can download and use it as a cloud. Very useful app similar to Dropbox and OneDrive.
ReplyDeleteHello MD,
ReplyDeleteI love Google Drive. I have used it all throughout my college career and will continue to use it in my professional career. Everything involved in Google Drive is so helpful. Basically, any app Google creates is very useful.

ReplyDeleteI love google drive! I have been using it since high school. I think it's the most efficient way to do group work, especially on google slides. I also love that it saves automatically because I've had a few instances on Microsoft word where I lost all of my work.
MD,
ReplyDeleteGoogle drive is truly one of my favorite tools to use. It makes it so easy to do group work or even work in general. It keeps everything organized and is just overall awesome! I enjoyed your presentation on it!
Hi Rocky! Google drive is definitely something that I have used before. I think if everyone has ever had to make a project or some sort in google they used this to save it. It is perfect to save any type of presentation or writing. It’s perfect for group projects as well! As long as I’m n school I can see myself using this.
ReplyDeleteLast semester, I did the Communication Studies Newsletter internship and had to use Google Drive in order to make sure everyone had access to the correct work. It was so helpful in keeping everyone up-to-date with the information needed to keep the newsletter going.
ReplyDeleteHi MD,
ReplyDeleteI know for me personally, I have heard of the app called Google Drive, and I use it for everything! I know when I have my own classroom, that is where I will have my students save all papers they are writing for the class so it will never be lost! This tool is a must-have for anybody in the education world, in my opinion! Thank you for sharing this app!
MD,
ReplyDeleteGoogle drive is amazing for all students. I have used it for many group projects and individual work. It allows you to communicate with everyone involved with the project and also allows each individual use it on there own time. The best part about it is that it is free.
Google drive is an amazing app. I use it all the time for a wide variety of things. I find it great that it allows for community sharing, and access to ones documents from anywhere. It is amazing that it is free, and I see myself using this for a long time. Microsoft office used to be the way to go, but at this point what google has to offer and for free may be better.
ReplyDeleteMD,
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love Google Drive. I use my Google Drive app almost everyday for school. It definitely helps me stay organized with all of my information in one place. It is also very helpful for group projects because people can all type in a document at the same time.
MD,
ReplyDeleteThis app has been a part of my whole entire college career. I really like the features that it has and how much you can get out of it by using it in an educational as well as a professional way. Everything stays in one organized spot!

ReplyDeleteGoogle drive is definitely essential for college students and professionals who are always on the go. I love the features where works are saved automatically and sharing with others are also easier than on Microsoft suits. Then cloud feature allows one to access their work wherever and whenever.
